In Mark 1:35 Jesus shows his disciples right before the Sermon on the Mount, how to pray.  In the Sermon he teaches them how to pray.  Most important, in the Jesus way, is our understanding of God to whom we pray.  This conditions our entire prayer practice.

The Lord’s Supper is a sign of the covenant between Christ and his followers.  As such the beauty of the sign attracts the congregants to wonder about the glory achieved by Christ on the Cross.  But even more so the call to remember is a call to remember the entire covenant which continues unabated right to today.

  • To Set At Liberty Them That Are Bruised November 26 2017 | Dr. Greg Anderson

The call to perfection is from the perfect man.  He could not otherwise lead all who follow him.  This perfection is to be understood as being complete according to the original design and purpose.  In this case, it is according to the image of God.  The way of personal non-retaliation and love to enemy is first a matter of concern within the congregation.  If we can be formed in Jesus’ way in the congregation then we can be useful in Jesus’ mission in the world.
